The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, January 6, 1930

Mrs. Julia Wood, 74, a native of Newaygo but almost a lifelong resident of 
Ionia county, died at her home at 32 Stevenson Place, at 3:45 Monday morning.  

She is survived by George H. wood to whom she has been married over half a 
century, a son, Fred E. Wood, employed in the post office at Traverse City, a 
daughter, Mrs. Claude Wheeler, of Flint; and a daughter, Miss Eunice Wood of 
Detroit.

While the greater part of her life has been spent in Ionia, Mrs. Wood lived 
for a time during the early part of her married life near Saranac.  She was a 
member of the Security Benefit association.
