Ionia Sentinel Standard – 1 August 1967
Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia M. Wood, 42, of 309 Knox Street in 
Portland, were Monday at 1 pm at Neller Funeral home in Portland.  Mrs. Wood 
died suddenly of a heart attack at home last Friday.

The Rev. Carl Noffsinger of Portland Church of the Nazarene delivered the 
funeral sermon and burial was in Portland cemetery.  Bearers were Leon and 
Robert Densmore and Dean, Robert, Kendall and Donald Cross.  Mrs. Wood a 
lifelong resident of Portland was born January 26, 1925.  She is survived by 
her husband, Robert W. Wood, and a daughter, Kathy at home.
