Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Thurs. April 23, 2009

Virginia “Jinny” Marie Wood passed away on April 20, 2009, peacefully from the 
arms of her loving family to the arms of her Lord.

She was born May 6, 1939, in Ionia, the daughter of Alton Perry and Lena 
Nummer. On Feb. 16, 1957, Jinny married the “Love of Her Life” Terrance “Terry” 
Wood and celebrated 52 years of joy and happiness.

She is survived by her husband, Terrance; 4 daughters Rebecca (Mark) McGriffin 
of Pataskala, Ohio; Christine (Roger) Anderson of Freeport, Bahamas; Leisha 
Cooper of Ionia; Sandra (Jeffery) Kincaid of Ionia; 11 beloved grandchildren; 
brother, Michael (Gwen) Shippy of Arizona; sister, Deloris Annis of Lansing; 
brother-in-law Raymond (Rhonda) Wood of International Falls, Minn.; sister-in-
law Gwen (David) Ross of Belding and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and 
friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Shirley and Joan and 
granddaughter, Jessica Long.

Services will be held Saturday, April 25 at 11 a.m. at Ionia County Church of 
Christ, 7831 Jordan Lake Road, Lake Odessa; burial will take place following 
the service at Tuttle Cemetery. Luncheon to follow at Ionia County Church of 
Christ. Arrangements are entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Homes,
