The Belding Banner, Thursday, December 19, 1963


Victor Wood, age 75, 1153 Bracey Ave., Greenville died Thursday morning at 
Greenville hospital after a two year illness.  Mr. Wood was born at North 
Adams, May 14, 1888 to James and Anna Wood.  An employee of Gibson Refrigerator 
Co., for 37 years, he was a resident of Greenville for 44 years.  On Oct. 3, 
1909 he was married to Zella Adams who survives.

Other survivors are 4 daughters, Mrs. Robert (Alice) Skeels, Mrs. William 
(Dorcas) VanVlerah, both of Lakeview, Mrs. Charles (Peggy) Darrow, Mrs. William 
(Sue) Harris, both of Belding; four sons, Orrin, Frank, both of Greenville, 
Victor J. of Cadillac, Norman of Belding; 21 grandchildren; eight great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Hoffman Funeral Home in Greenville 
with the Rev. Drell J. Butler officiating.  Burial was in Rest Haven Memory 
Gardens.
