Belding - Norman “Dutch” H. Wood, 88, of Belding, passed away Wednesday, Dec.
26, 2001, at United Memorial Health Center, Greenville.  He was born Dec. 19,
1913, in Arlene, the son of Victor and Zella Wood.  He married Irene Raymond, of
Belding, June 20, 1934.	He was a member of the Congregational Church, F&AM and
OES of Belding.  He was a 57-year member of IBEW Local 275.  Norman proudly
graduated from Belding High School in 1990.

He is survived by his wife, Irene; two sons and daughters-in-law, Terrance and
Virginia Wood of Ionia, Raymond and Rhonda Wood of International Falls, Minn.; a
daughter, Gwenlyn Barthel of Belding; grandchildren, Rebecca and Mark McGiffin
of Fenton, Christine and Roger Anderson, Leisha and Jeff Cooper, all of Ionia,
Sandra and Jeff Kincaid of Lansing, Norman and Nicci Wood, Molly and Tyler
Davis, all of International Falls, Minn., Brenda Foote, Barbara and Sam Stapp,
Terrance Johnson, all of Belding; 18 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Peggy
Darrow and Sue Harris of Belding.  He was preceded in death by his parents;
brothers, Orrin, Victor and Frank Wood; sisters, Madelyn Wood, Alice Skeels and
Dorcas Van Valerah; and a great-grandchild, Jessica Long.

Visitation is 1 p.m. Saturday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, with
the memorial following at 2 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the
Golden Hammer Scholarship program of Belding High School or the First
Congregational Church of Belding Organ Fund.
