Belding Banner-News, 10 Feb 1898

North Side Notes.  Mrs. Emeretta A. Wood, who suffered a stroke of paralysis,
died without recovering consciousness Friday morning.  The deceased was born in
Reading, Ct., and came to Michigan in 1870.  She was married to Mr. Wood at
Westport, Ct., in 1869 and before moving here several years ago, lived at
Stanton and McBride.  She was 46 years old and had been a faithful member of the
M.E. church since she was 14 years of age.  A kind and loving wife and mother
has gone, leaving a husband and two children, a son and a daughter.  Funeral
services were held at the M.E. church Sunday afternoon, Rev. O.J. Golden
officiating.
