Wood, 55 died at Traverse City , in which city he had resided for some time, Saturday evening. Surviving are the widow, Rose G. Wood, and one son, Harvey E., of Portland. There are two brothers, Harold D. of Lansing, and Eugene D. Wood, Vermontville, and three sisters, Mrs. Mable Brodsick, Henderson, Mich., Mrs. Lola MacCeady, Vermontville, and Mrs. Hannah J. Jenney, Flushing, Mich. Mr. Wood was a veteran of the first World War and a member of Dale E. Hyland post, of the American Legion and the D.A.V.. Bearers were Rudy Shay, Oliver Tschopp, Clarence Barnes, and Orville Price, members of the post. Rev. Blanche M. Neller and Rev. Fr. Louis .Flohe officiated at the services, which were held Tuesday afternoon at Neller Funeral home. Years ago Mr. Wood was chef at hotel divine, and had been similarly employed in other cities.
