The Ionia Standard, Friday, August 14, 1885
Charles Wood, night watchman for Williams, Crookshank & Co., died of typhoid 
fever on Thursday last.  During the three years he has held the position 
mentioned, Mr. Williams states, he has not been once absent from duty.
