Sentinel-Standard - Wednesday, Sept. 28, 1949

Funeral services for Elmer L. Wood, 56, who died Saturday morning, were held from 
his home, 229 w. Riverside drive, South Ionia, at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Dr. Paul L. Stewart officiated at the services. Burial was in the family lot, Balcom

cemetery.

Pallbearers were James Hampshire, Wayne Coss, Lloyd Hampshire, Tony Fundaro, Floyd 
Hampshire and Fay Carrick.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Martin were in charge of the flowers.

Persons from out of town attending the services were: Mrs. Gladys Pew of Saranac; 
Mrs. Pearl Diebold, Tony Fundaro and Fay Carrick of Dearborn; Ray Wood, Mrs. Homer 
Gee, Mrs. Bernice Winn, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Boyer and Mrs. Monnie Beach of Lansing.

Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell Townsend of Pontiac; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Townsend and family of 
Lyons; Mr. and Mrs. Hector Gee, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Brown, Frank Townsend and Claude

Townsend of Muir.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Boyer of Grand Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Coss of Battle Creek;

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Cuyler of Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Lorraine Ellis of Detroit: Mr.

and Mrs. Sam Hampshire of Rockford, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert L. Austin of Grosse

Pointe; and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bissell of Pewamo.
