John D. Woodbury, died at her home in Lansing early Sunday morning, and the remains were brought to Portland on the noon train Tuesday, for burial. Mrs. Woodbury, whose maiden name was Susan Outwater, was born in Wilson, N.Y. 74 years ago last September. At the age of 18 she was married to John D. Woodbury, who located in Lansing after the close of the war and later came to Portland, where he was engaged in the mercantile business with Charles H. Maynard. About 18 years ago Mr. and Mrs. Woodbury moved back to Lansing, where the former died six years ago. Mrs. Woodbury had been in ill health for about two years and her death had been expected. She is survived by one son, Chester D. Woodbury, of Lansing, who is well known in Portland, and the following brothers and sisters: Dr. John Outwater, Wilson, N.Y.; Harrison Outwater, Ann Arbor; Mrs. A. B. Hixson, Mrs. A. O.
