Ionia Sentinel Standard, 27 Mar 1998

Margurette Aileen Woodbury, 85, passed away Wednesday morning at Ionia County 
Memorial Hospital.  She was born November 26, 1912 in Eagle Township, Clinton 
County.  The daughter of Lewis and Mildred (Nostrat) Kebler and a 1930 graduate 
of Grand Ledge High School.

She married Arthur Schaefer in 1937 and he passed away in 1944.  She married 
Lawrence Woodbury in 1946 and he passed away in 1976.  She lived in the Lyons-
Muir area since 1939 and was employed at Mitchell-Bently in Ionia.

She was survived by her four sons; Bud Schaefer of Muir, Ronald (Ruth) Schaefer 
of Fenwick, and Richard (Linda) Schaefer of Muir; Kent (Fran) Schaefer of Muir; 
her two daughters; Pat (Myron) Croel of Apple Valley, Calif. and Diane (Bruce) 
Rowe of Portland; her sister Doris (Nick) Ketchum of Eagle; 20 grandchildren 
and 32 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a grandson and great-
granddaughter.  Visitation will be Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday 
from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Hull Memorial Chapel in Muir.

Funeral Services will be on Sunday at 2 p.m. at First Christian Church in Muir 
with Pastor Robert Girdwood officiating.  Burial will be in West Side Cemetery 
in Hubbardston.  Contributions may be made to the First Christian Church in 
memory of Margurette.
