Prichard last Wednesday night after a short illness. Mr. Wooden was 80 years of age and for four years past had made his home with the Prichard’s; who cared for him as well as though he was one of their kin. He was a native of New York but came to Michigan when a young man and settled in Woodland. Fortune has smiled on him but reverses came and he lost the two farms he once owned. His only means of sustenance during his last years was his business of buying old iron, rags and rubber, which he conducted in a building at the north end of town. He was twice married but both were evidently unpleasant ones for one wife was divorced and the other left him. Five children were born to the first union but none of them knew him or came near. He was buried in Lakeside Cemetery Friday, by the side of a son.
