The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, February 15, 1950

Mrs. Marie Wooden, 122 South Jefferson street, died at the Ionia County 
Memorial hospital at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday of a stroke she suffered four days 
ago.  She was removed to the hospital at that time.

She was born in Fremont.  Her husband, Emmett, died in Ionia, Jan. 2, 1947.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Lyle Smith, of Belding.  Mrs. Wooden was a 
member of the First Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from Myers funeral home with 
the Rev. Howard A. Smith officiating.  Interment will be in Highland Park 
cemetery.
