Funeral services were held at the Stone-Kauffman Funeral Home in Ionia for 
Grant P. Woodman, 58, who died in his home in Palo Thursday, February 1, at 
11:45 p.m., after a long illness.

He was born January 29, 1893, in Keene township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Emmett 
Woodman.  At the age of thirteen, he moved with his parents to Montcalm County 
where they lived until 1937, when they moved to Palo.  In 1915 he was married 
to Leona Carris of Crystal.  He worked on various farms and in factories.

Surviving are two sons, Robert C. of Lewiston and Wayne R. of Belding; the 
father, Emmett, of Ionia Route 1; a sister, Bessie, of Ionia Route 1; and a 
brother Lee R. of Ionia Route 1.  

Rev. Harold E. Homer of Hubbardston officiated at the funeral.
