Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Friday, Nov. 25, 1966

WOODLAND- Mrs. Bessie L. Woodman, 89, route 1, Woodland, died Thursday at 
Milford rest  home in Milord where she had been a patient two weeks.

She was born April 21, 1877 and was the daughter of William and Celistia Wolfe 
Smith. 

December 15, 1907 she married Harve A. Woodman and he preceded her in death 
October 31, 1959.

A life long resident of Wooland she had been a member of Coats Grove Christian 
church for the past 80 years and a Sunday school teacher 65 years. She also was 
a member of Women's Aid society of the church and a member of Women's 
Temperance Union. 

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Turner of River Pines, Calif. and Mrs. 
Reo Brink of Milford; a son, Paul of Woodland, six grandchildren, two great 
grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Mary Davidson of Kalamazoo.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Coats Grove Christian church. 
Rev. Charles Gibbs will officiate with burial in Woodland Memorial cemetery. 
Funeral arrangements by Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa.
