The Ionia County News, Thursday, October 22, 1942
Mrs. Harold Woodman died Tuesday at St. Lawrence hospital, Lansing.  She was 
formerly Violet Myers, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Eno Myers.  She graduated 
from Portland high school in 1932 and later from the Ionia County Normal.  She 
had taught school for several years and this year was teaching the Pence 
school in Danby township.

Besides the husband, she leaves one daughter Connie Hope, the parents, two 
sisters, Mrs. Clifton Patrick of Detroit and Miss Madeline Myers, and one 
brother, Gene, at home.

Funeral services were held Friday at Bandfield’s chapel, with Rev. George 
Whipple officiating and burial in Portland cemetery.
