July 26, 1914 Hester May Hunt Woodruff was born in Campbell township, Mich. June 30, 1869 and departed this life to be with Christ, which Paul said was far better, at the home of her brother, Ed. Hunt, at St. Joseph, Michigan July 14, 1914. She had been a faithful follower of Christ from her childhood, and died with her trust in Him whom she had served during these years. Through her long illness she was a patient sufferer, trusting him who said "Let not your heart be troubled," selecting the scripture and hymns to be used at her funeral. She leaves to mourn her departure from this world, a father, husband, brother, two step-children and other relatives and friends. The funeral was held at the United Brethren Church at Lake Odessa July 16. The pastor, Rev. J. A. Davis, officiating.
