Woodworth was born in Lyons township near Pewamo, March 4th, 1887. At the age of six he commenced school, and at the age of thirteen he graduated from the eighth grade. He attended the high school at Manchester, Michigan for two years. Returning home he assisted with the farm work until the fall of 1909, when he, with other members of the family, went to the Isle of Pines. He remained on the island for three years as manager of their interests there. In the spring of 1912 he returned to Detroit, where he has been employed up to the time of his death. He departed this life February 11th, 1913, aged 25 years, 11 months and 7 days. Kind, light hearted and generous to a fault, he is mourned by a large circle of friends and relatives. The funeral was held at the family home at ten o’clock on Friday morning of last week, and was largely attended. Rev. W. W. Hurd, of Lyons conducted the service and spoke from the words, “As for me, I will up hold they face in righteousness. I shall be satisfied when I awake with thy likeness.” File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/mi/ionia/obits/w/woodwort7743nob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/mifiles/ File size: 1.6 Kb
