Wm. H. Woodworth, ex-judge of probate of Ionia county, died at his home near Pewamo on Thursday morning last. Judge Woodworth was a pioneer of Ionia county, an upright and honorable man and a successful farmer and land dealer. He had held many offices of trust in the county and always discharged their duties with fidelity and with credit to himself. He had been sick for some time with heart disease. He was 70 years of age at the time of his death. Judge Woodworth was very well known in Ionia and surrounding counties, his various public offices and business interests bringing him in contact with many people. He was a native of New Hampshire and was one of those sturdy New Englanders which make the best of pioneers. He had acquired quite a competency of this world’s goods, consisting of lands and money.
