Thomas Clinton Woolston, aged 72 of Orleans, passed away March 9, 2015.  He was
born July 7, 1942, in Grand Rapids the son of Charles and Melvina (Webb)
Woolston.  He graduated from Belding High School Class of 1960.  Tom married
Rita Rowley Oct. 5, 1963, in Ionia.

He worked as a Police Officer for the Ionia County Sheriff Dept. from 1964-1972,
Clinton County Sheriff Dept. 1973-1976 where he later became a Uniform Sergeant
from 1976-1997 when he retired.  In 1987, Tom and Rita started Action Awards,
manufacturing ribbons & trophies.

Tom was very involved with local and national horse shows with his daughter
Tammy, he was a “Horse Show Dad.”  He loved collecting and restoring antique
cars and tractors.  He loved spending time at his pond and fishing with family
and friends, and raising beef cattle.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Rita Woolston of Orleans;
daughter Tammy (Wayne) Boley of Fenwick; grandchildren Zack, Tyler and Emily
Boley; brothers Dave (Sandy) Woolston of Indiana, Frank (Martha) Woolston of
Orleans; sister Doris Meyers of Indiana; sister-in-law Nancy McCarthy and Dick
Dennis of Howard City; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death
by his parents and brother Jack.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 12, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Lake
Funeral Home in Ionia.  Visitation will be on Wednesday 5-8 p.m. at the Funeral
Home.  Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Shiloh Community Church.
