The Ionia Sentinel, Friday, May 23, 1919

Word of the death of Chas. Worden, an old Ionia resident, at the home of his 
daughter at Cadillac was received this morning by Fred Carpenter, of the Ionia 
I.O.O.F. lodge of which Mr. Worden was a member.  Mr. Worden has been away 
from Ionia for several years.  He was well known here and lived here for many 
years, having been city nightwatch and an employee of the Hayes-Ionia 
factory.  Mrs. Worden preceded him in death about six years ago.  The remains 
will be brought here for burial.
