Aged Woman Had Resided in Ionia County 72 years

Mrs. Cornelia H. Worden, 83, who had been a resident of Ionia county since the 
age of nine years, died at the home of her son, Leo Worden, north of Ionia, 
Thursday evening at 7:45.  Mrs. Worden had been confined to her bed for the 
past 23 months, but her condition had been serious for only the past three 
weeks.

Mrs. Worden came to Ionia county with her parents from New York state in 1853.  
They settled near Berlin Center.  Her husband, William Worden, died in 1912.  
She is survived by one son, Leo Worden, and several grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Worden 
Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock city time.  Burial will be in Balcom cemetery.
