Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 16 May 1942

Earl Scheid was called to Milwaukee Thursday afternoon upon receiving word of
the sudden death at his home of his brother-in-law William Worley, consulting
engineer at the ordnance works.  He left by plane.  His sister, Mrs. Bertha
Worley, had been ill in the hospital about a week.  No further particulars have
been received.  Mrs. Worley, a Saranac resident for years, visited here about a
month ago, at the time Mr. Worley was transferred from the Twin Cities to
Milwaukee.

[Transcriber’s note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was
buried in Saranac Cemetery.]
