A. Wortley Stricken With Heart Failure After Dinner Friday When E. A. Wortley, of West Main street returned to his work Friday at noon he left Mrs. Wortley apparently in her usual condition of health. Shortly after he had arrived at the Reed factory, he received a telephone call to return home but was unable to reach there before his wife’s death. Mrs. Wortley had been stricken with what is believed to have been sudden dilation of the heart and expired within a few minutes. Mrs. Wortley had been in rather poor health for some time but her death so suddenly was entirely unexpected. She collapsed on the floor of her home but managed to attract the attention of a neighbor who found her practically helpless. Dr. E. F. Beckwith, who was called, found her beyond help. Mrs. Worley leaves besides her husband two sons, Floyd and Willard, in Detroit, and a sister, Mrs. Peabody in Kalamazoo. The funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 at the home and the body shipped to Detroit.
