WORTLEY Funeral services for Glenn E. Wortley. 92, of 222 W.Liberty Street were held at Huffman Funeral Home Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Wilford Wood officiated.Burial was in Rest Haven Memory Gardens. Pall bearers were Gordon Leppink, Don Cornell, John Stahlin, Morse Sykes, Ferd Lewis, Ernest Marin, Loren Adgate and Terry Wallin. The directors of Belding Savings and Loan and First Security Bank were honorary pallbearers. Mr.Wortley died Saturday,June 26, at Belding Community Hopital. He was born May 26, 1879 in Hillsdale county, the son of David and Emma Wentz Wortley. He and Ina Berry were married April 10, 1928 in Belding. She survived. An active community member, Mr.Wortley belonged to Belding Lodge No. 355 F& AM, 32nd Mason degree, Belding Rotary Club, Washington Club, Goodfellowship Club, Otisco Farmers Club, Michigan Much Farmers Association and Belding Chamber of Commerce.He was also a director of Belding Savings and Loan and First Security Bank. He is survived by his wife; one step-son, Jack Mehney of Belding; one sister,Mrs.Mary Stump of Montpelier, Ohio; one half-brother, Marion VanOcker of Cloudsport, Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren.
