Wortley, 87, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa. Rev. Ronald Hoffman will officiate and burial will be at Lakeside cemetery. Mr. Wortley died Friday at a Hastings nursing home where he had been a patient five weeks. Born December 1, 1881 in Campbell township, he was the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Lepard Wortley. He was married to Maude Van Brocklin in 1966 who died in 1943. In 1945 he was married to Audie Eckhardt who died in October 1967. He was employed as a Grand Rapids street railway motorman for four years after which he farmed in Carlton township for 33 years until his retirement. He was a member of Lake Odessa united Methodist church. Surviving are three sons, Ray of Brighton, Colo., Roy of Lake Odessa, Galen of Lansing; 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; five sisters Mrs. Ruth Cunningham, Mrs. Charles Darby and Mrs. Cleo Sears all of Lake Odessa, Mrs. Mary Campbell of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Lawrence Lindberg of Flint.
