The funeral service over the remains of the late Austin D. Wright was held in 
the Baptist church last Friday afternoon.  The deceased was 66 years of age 
and was formerly a resident of Grattan, having owned a farm in that township a 
number of years ago.

He and his wife moved here about five years ago to be near their daughter.  He 
had not been well for some time being troubled with rheumatism but able to be 
out.  Wednesday morning he got up as usual to build a fire and was taken with 
a fainting spell and died in a very few minutes.  His wife called their 
daughter and neighbors but life was extinct by the time they arrived.

He leaves besides his wife one son, Ben Wright, a prosperous farmer near 
Greenville, who is now quite sick and one daughter, Mrs. Fred Smith of this 
city.
