She had not been in good health for sometime. Mrs. Wright was born in Canada in 1837 and when six years old came with her father, Ensign Rexford, to Keene, making the journey with a team and covered wagon. She was married in 1862 to Austin D. Wright of Lowell and they moved to Belding in 1899. Mr. Wright died in 1905. Besides her daughter and daughter-in-law, Mrs. B. J. Wright, of Greenville, the deceased leaves two sisters, two brothers, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wright had the distinction of being the first woman to ride on the Grand Trunk railroad from Saranac to Lowell after its completion. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon, Rev. W. A. Bliss, her pastor, officiated, and she was laid to rest by the side of her husband in the old cemetery.
