Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2002

Mrs. Ruth W. Wright, 89, of Ionia formerly of Crystal, passed away Wednesday, 
Feb. 6, 2002 in Easton Township.

She was born the daughter of Frank and Eva (Zerba) Jarstfer on Sept. 22, 1912 
in Crystal.  Ruth worked at A.C. Spark Plug Factory in Ionia and also at 
General Motors in Lansing.  She married James Wright on April 16, 1931.  He 
preceded her in death on March 31, 1985.  She was an avid gardener and loved 
her flowers.

Surviving are: one daughter, Wanda (Vern) Raab of Orleans; 14 grandchildren; 22 
great-grandchildren; and three great, great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James; son, Dean E. Wright in 1988; 
daughter Ardith N. Howe in 1987; two sisters and one brother.

Funeral and committal services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday at the Cook 
Funeral Home, Ionia with Pastor Jamey Nicholas from Shiloh Community Church 
officiating.  Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.  Visitation is 2 p.m. to 4 
p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday at the Rich Street Chapel of Cook Funeral 
Home, Ionia.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Shiloh Community Church 
Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
