All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/mi/mifiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Suanne Tasker stasker@nomadinter.net April 17, 2012, 4:58 pm Belding Banner, Thursday, January 2, 1930 Gerald Wright, aged ten years, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wright, living a few miles northeast of Palo, was out hunting rabbits on Monday forenoon a short distance from the house, and about eleven o'clock or after, following the report of his gun, his parents heard him cry out in pain and rushing out to where the little fellow was, found he had accidentally shot himself, the shot entering his body below his right arm and coming out at this shoulder blade. With all speed possible they took him to Palo, only to find Dr. Hargrave away from home, and they immediately went on to Ionia were he was taken to the hospital, but he passed away bfore reaching thie operating room. Besides his parents, he leaves a brother, Harry, of Lansing, and three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Crampton of Grand Rapids; Mrs. Leota Lobdell, of Lansing and Ruth at home.
