Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Tues. March 12, 1968

Clare Wright, 79, of route 1, Fenwick, died suddenly Monday at his home after 
helping fight a fire in a tenant house on his property.

He was born March 14, 1888 in Evergreen township, Montcalm county. He was a 
life member of Palo lodge F & AM, and Palo chapter of Eastern Star. He was also 
a member of Farm Bureau and had served Busnell township as clerk, treasurer and 
justice of peace.

In 1914 he was married to Mabel Howorth, who survives. He also leaves a 
daughter Mrs. Phyllis M. Stephens of Detroit; one grandchild and two great 
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, 2 pm at Stebbins funeral home in 
Sheridan. Graveside services will be under the auspices of Palo lodge 208 F&AM 
at Palo cemetery.
