Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Tues. May 1, 2001

Roy C. Wright, 88, of Lyons, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2001.

He was born July 31, 1912, in Berlin Township, the son of Erastus and Jessie 
(Goodenough) Wright. He was a lifetime resident of the area. He farmed, worked 
at Mitchell Bentley and General Tire in Ionia, and Gibson Refrigerator in 
Belding.

He married Anna E. Patterson Dec. 236, 1933, in Angola, Ind. She preceded him 
in death on Dec. 22, 1982.

Surviving are his two sons, Ford L. Wright of Lyons and Loren D. Wright of 
Portland; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Scot K. Otis, pastor of Portland 
United Methodist Church at 11 a.m., Thursday at Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 
1301 E. Grand River Ave., Portland. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery 
in Lake Odessa. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 p.m. 
to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday.
