He came to Belding at the age of 16, where he resided until his marriage on May 1, 1917. He entered the service of his country and served in the navy for 25 months, after which he was honorably discharged. On November 8, 1919 he was married to Marie Evens, at Ionia, Mich. In December of that year they took up their residence in Flint where they resided until his death. He underwent an operation on July 29, of this year, from which he never recovered. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife and two sons, Carrol Leroy and Leo Frederick of Flint; his mother, Mrs. Delia Wright of this city; his father, of Chicago, Ill.; one brother, Rev. Guy J. Wright, of Eureka, Ill.; and four sisters, Mrs. Eunice Skanes of Flint; Bernice Wright of Kimberlin Heights, Tenn.; Mrs. Winifred Meyers, of Orleans; Irene Wright, of Belding; besides a host of friends and relatives.
