The Portland Observer, Thursday, March 19, 1914
Within two days of the death of his wife, M. G. Wright, a former resident of 
Orange township, expired at his residence, 707 Washington Street, Lansing, at 
midnight Saturday.  He at one time owned a farm near the Steele school house 
in Orange, where the aged couple made their home for many years.  Mr. Wright, 
who was a brother of Mrs. Mary P. White of Portland, and Mrs. R. J. Ritenburgh 
of Orange, was 80 years of age at the time of his death, while his wife was 
75.  The (…illegible….) interred at Charlotte.  Mrs. White of Portland was 
unable to attend her brother’s funeral on account of illness.
