A. Wright, township treasurer, and Mrs. Merriett Moore, of Ionia. Mrs. Wright was born, raised and married in Vermont, moving from that state to New York, where her husband died. From there she moved with her family to Michigan, this county and township, where she has resided for the last twenty- nine years and until her death. Mrs. W. was seventy-seven years old, and for forty-six years a widow. She was in her earlier day a member of the Congregational church, but having no opportunity of membership here, she united with the Free Will Baptists. Mrs. Wright was one of those quiet Christians whose works are the evidence of their faith, beloved and respected by all who had the privilege of her acquaintance. Funeral services were held at the house Monday afternoon, Rev. W. J. Swift, the M. E. minister, conducting the services. There was a large attendance.
