Jacqueline “Jackie” Wright, age 75, of Baldwin, formerly of West Bloomfield, 
Michigan passed away at home surrounded by members of her loving family on 
Saturday, March 31, 2007.  She was born in Ionia, Michigan to Jackson and Rene 
Fern (Perigo) Fleckenstein.  

Following high school she attended college in Lexington, Kentucky.  It is 
there that she met her husband, Jack Clair Wright.  The couple exchanged vows 
on February 18, 1951 and shared 20 years of marriage prior to his death in 
1971.  She had many hobbies and interests including Native American history, 
astrology and reading.  She also loved to bowl and was an accomplished 
musician, playing the piano and several other instruments.  Her greatest 
devotion, though, was to making a home for her family.  She relocated to 
Baldwin in 1980 to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and had a great view of 
nature out the back window of her home.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Steven (Lani) Wright of 
Commerce, Michigan, Matthew (Donna) Wright and Claire (Gary) Bunker of 
Rosebush, Michigan; grandchildren, Kevin, Chris and Sean Wright of Commerce, 
and Kirk and Jack Bunker of Rosebush; a sister, Joan Mizer of Baldwin; a 
niece, Carlee Thompson of Baldwin and a nephew, Clay Mizer of Wyoming; and 
great nephews Jackson Thompson and Gavin Thompson.  In addition to her 
husband, her parents preceded her in death.

No services are scheduled at this time and those wishing to express their 
sympathy are welcomed to consider a memorial contribution in her memory to 
Hospice of Michigan, Lake County Service area.  Envelopes are available by 
contacting Verdun Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Baldwin who cared for 
the arrangements.
