Mr. Wurster was born in Germany in 1854 and came to this country when he was 8 years of age, living in Ann Arbor for a short time before coming to Ionia about 60 years ago. He was married 54 years ago, they being the first couple to be married in the Evangelical Lutheran church after it was built and dedicated. They built their home on 436 West Washington street over 40 years ago and have lived there since. Mrs. Wurster’s death occurred on May 26, 1932. Since that time their youngest daughter, Mrs. Herbert C. Hall, of Chicago, has been staying with her father and caring for him. Mr. Wurster was the last of the family of six children. He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran church, and had always been a faithful and devoted father to his family. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. E. C. Bowlby, of Benton Harbor; Mrs. Frank E. Hall and Mrs. Herbert C. Hall, of Ionia. Funeral services will be held from the home on Washington street, Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Rev. Father E. G. White will conduct the service. Burial at the family lot beside his wife, Highland Park cemetery.
