                              JOHN J. WAGLE

GRAND RAPIDS-John J. Wygle, of 330 Robey, S.E. Grand Rapids, died May 3 at 
St.Mary's Hospital, Grand Rapids.

He was born Oct. 10, 1926, the son of Frederick and Sara Smith Wygle, and was a 
self-employed truck driver.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, and had been awarded a Purple Heart,Bronze 
Star and a Sharpshooter's badge.

Surviving are his children; Frederick Wygle of Grand Rapids, Sandy Burgy, Vicki 
Denny, John Daniel Wygle of Ionia and Robin Mason of Lyons; and 14 
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 12:3 p.m. from the O'Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst 
Funeral Home, 3980 Cascade Road at 1-96, Grand Rapids, with the Rev. Donald 
Heydens officiating. Cremation will follow services.

A Memorial for the Michigan Veterans Facility, Grand Rapids, has been 
established, in care of the funeral home.

The family will be at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
