W. Wyman were held at the M. E. church on Thursday last, under the auspices of the Masonic fraternity, of which he was a member. The Rev. Lumber preached an excellent discourse to a large audience. The remains were taken to Danby for interment. Mr. Wyman was a native of Indiana, but came to this vicinity when but a year or so old, and he has always resided here. He was a veteran of the Union army during the war; and served until discharged on account of wounds received. Mr. Wyman was a good citizen, and had been a member of the M.E. church for twenty years; serving faithfully as class leader, steward and Sunday-School teacher; and the large congregation present at the funeral indicated that his friends were numerous. He leaves a compentency of this world’s goods for his wife and daughter who survive him. Mr. Wyman received the wound which crippled him, at the battle of Falling Water, Md., July 14, 1863. He enlisted in Co. E, 6th Mich. Cavalry in ’62.
