Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Sept. 1, 2012

Carolyn Whitehurst Wyman, 58, of Belding, loving wife, mother, sister and 
grandmother, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012. She was born on Dec. 26, 
1953 in Norfolk, Va. (but considered Charleston, S.C. home) the daughter of Ray 
and Lorraine (Masters) Whitehurst.

Carolyn was a graduate of James Island High School. She was an amazing minister 
of the Gospel, always keeping Jesus first in her life. Carolyn loved people no 
matter who they were, and lived for others, never herself.

Preceding her in death were here parents.

Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Steve Wyman; children, Steven 
Christopher (Rachel Ann) Wyman, Raychel Elizabeth (Ryan Michael) Smith, Susan 
Rebekah Banks and Jonathan Whitehurst (Jessica Lou) Wyman; grandchildren, 
Justin, Emily, Caelyn, Rylie, Merayah, Addyson, Nolan and Natalie; sisters, 
Sandra Butler, Joyce Cross and Janice Camp.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 at Zion 
United Methodist Church, 423 W. Washington St., Ionia, with Pastor Cliff Allen 
and Chaplain David Leslie presiding.

Interment will take place at Saranac Cemetery. The family will receive friends 
from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lehman Funeral Homes, 220 Rich St., Ionia.
