Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 20 Nov 1957

Chester Yager, 77, retired farmer of route three, Lake Odessa, died Wednesday 
morning at 6 o’clock at Pennock hospital, Hastings.  He had been a patient for 
two days, following a lengthy illness.

Born near Petoskey December 7, 1879, he was a son of Frederick and Maggie 
(Leak) Yager and moved to Ionia county when a young boy.  He spent most of his 
life in Ionia county.

Surviving are his wife, Doris; one brother, Clarence of Lake Odessa, and nieces 
and nephews.

The body is at the Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa where funeral services 
will be held Saturday at 2 p.m.  The Rev. A. J. Pitman will officiate.    
Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery.
