Lake Odessa Wave-Times - March 19, 1939

YOUNG MOTHER PASSES AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Mrs.Maggie Yager died Early Saturday Morning. Funeral Monday. Leaves Four 
Children.

After several months illness Mrs Maggie Yager passed away, aged 79, at her home 
on Sixth avenue, Friday.

Mrs. Yager was a loving mother, a loyal, true Christian, making the Bible a book 
of constant study and applying its precepts by teaching a Sunday school class in 
the Congregation church years. She was president for many years of the "Old Time 
Party" held every year.

Mrs. Yager was 79 years of age and lived in Sebewa and Lake Odessa about 70 
years.

She was the daughter of Mr and Mrs Thomas Leak. She was married to Fred Yager in 
1877.

She leaves four children, Mrs.Florence Wiselogle of Ann Arbor, Thomas of 
Jackson, and Chester and Clarence of Lake Odessa, seven grandchildren and eight 
great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at her home Monday afternoon with the rev. Bunck of Battle 
Creek, assisted by the Rev. E.H. Humphrey officiating. Burial was at Lakeside 
Cemetery.
