The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, March 6, 1958


Robert Henry Yahnke, 79, former resident of Ionia, died March 5 in Flint.  He 
was born July 9, 1878.  On January 1, 1900, he was married to Emma Grams.  Mr. 
Yahnke spent most of his life in Ionia.

Surviving are a son, Clarence O. Yahnke of Clarksville, one brother, Otto 
Yahnke of Grand Rapids, and a grandson, Cpl. Robert Yahnke, U.S.M.C., Barstow 
Calif.

Funeral service will be held at Grove funeral chapel in Flint at 10 o’clock 
Friday morning.  Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the 
Highland Park cemetery in Ionia.
