Lake Odessa Wave-June 29, 1972

Former resident Dies in Calif.
Mrs. Hester A. Yarger, 79, a former local resident passed away Tuesday, June 20, at
Imperial Beach, Calif.. 

She was born November 7, 1892 in Sebewa, the daughter of Melvin and Lucy (Parker) 
Blossom and spent her early ilife in the local area. Mrs. Yarger had also resided in
the Ann Arbor area and Portland before returning here about 20 years ago and left last
October to reside with her daughter in California.

Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Thelma Furches of Imperial Beach, Calif.; two sisters,
Mrs. Margaret Philo of Baldwin and Mrs. Etta Allen of St. Johns; five grandchildren and
several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pickens funeral Chapel, Lake
Odessa. Bishop Larry L.Sheneman of The Latter Day Saints Church of Grand Rapids officiated
with burial in Portland cemetery.
