Ionia Sentinel-Std. Monday, Nov. 5, 1984

SUN CITY, ARIZ. - Funeral services will be held Oct. 27 for Chrystal Miles 
Yates, who died Oct. 24 in Boswell Memorial Hospital. She was a former Ionia 
resident.

She was the daughter of the late Capt. and Ms. C.D. Miles, an Ionia businessman 
and commander of Ionia's Co. H. Michigan National Guard. A graduate of Ionia 
High School, she was married to, G. Benton Yates, also a former Ionia resident.

He retired as superintendent of Livonia, Mich. public Schools in 1974 and they 
moved to Sun City.

Surviving are her husband, two sons, David of Olympia, Wash. and Lee of Seattle, 
two grandsons; a brother, O.F. "Jack" Miles of Apache Junction, Ariz.: and a 
sister, Star O'Neill, also of Sun City.
