GARY L. YAW
SARANAC - Gary L. Yaw, 31, of Centerline Road, Saranac, died Nov. 12 in 
Sparrow hospital, Lansing, following an industrial accident at Fisher Body 
Wednesday.

He was born Oct. 16, 1950, in Ionia, the son of Dee and Joyce Stiles Yaw. He 
graduated fro Saranac High School in 1968 and was employed as a millwright by 
Fisher Body since 1969.

He was also attending Lansing Community College at the time of his death and 
was a former Staff Sergeant in the Air National Guard with a Battle Creek 
duty station.

He was married to Dianne Finkbeiner in Grand Rapids Jan. 10, 1970.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Timmothy R., and two daughters, Tracy L. 
and Tina L. all at home; his parents, Mr and Mrs Dee Yaw of Saranac; his 
wife's parents, Mr and Mrs Harold Finkbeiner.

Also surviving are three brothers, Michael, Steven, and Kimball, all of 
Saranac; and five sisters, Mrs Dale (Linda) Badge of Sheridan; Mrs Donald 
(Karen) Badge of Sheridan; Mrs Ronald (Patricia) Gordon of Clarksville; and 
Deborah and Anita Yaw of Saranac.

Funeral services were Monday at the Saranac Community Church, the Rev. Ed 
Mendenhall officiating. Burial was in Saranac Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the Saranac Community Church Nursery 
school, in the care of the funeral home.
