She lived near the place of her birth until Oct. 26th, 1853, when she was married to Phillip Yaw of Mendon, Monroe Co., N.Y. To this union were born four daughters, Mrs Alvah Prosser of Walla Walla, Washington, Sarah and Emma I. who preceded their mother to the better world in childhood and Mrs. A.J. Koutz who is present with us and at who's home she died, and with whom she has lived since the death of her husband eight years ago. The deceased was the youngest of family of four, two sons and two daughters all of whom have preceded her to the other world. She was a very devoted wife and mother loved by all who knew her. June 25, 1911 she was stricken with paralysis since which she has been helpless; during her months of sickness she remained very patient and self sacrificing, even to the end, many times as expressing her self ready and wanting to go only waiting God's time. Beside the two daughters she has eight grandchildren three great-grandchildren and a host of other friends to mourn their loss. Through all pain at times she'd smile, A smile of heavenly birth; And when the angels called her home, She smiled farewell to earth. Heaven retaineth now our treasures, Earth the lonely casket keep,And the sunbeams long to linger, Where our sainted mother sleeps. The funeral was largely attended at 10:30 Thursday at the Koutz home, the sermon being preached by Rev. Philo of the Wesleyan church and the singing was by Herrick Fox and daughter Sadie, Mrs Orvin Dillenbeck and Mr. Russell Goodemoot. Interment was made in Lakeside cemetery. CARD OF THANKS We wish to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to the many friends who so kindly assisted us at the time of the death and burial of our beloved mother, also the Missionary society for the beautiful floral offering, to the pastor and the singers for their services.
