Oct. 23, 2009 Frances C. Yeasley, of Lowell and formerly of Ionia, age 82, loving mother and grandmother passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009. She was born on June 23, 1927 in Ionia the daughter of William and Carrie (Syba) Rohal. Mrs. Yeasley graduated from Ss. Peter and Paul Academy in 1945 and was a member there for many years. She worked at the Chrysler Trim Plant in Lyons as well as the Mitchell Bentley Plant in Ionia. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and loved ceramics, picnics, and animals. She married Harold Yeasley on Sept. 17, 1949 in Detroit, and together they shared over 50 years of marriage until his passing in 2000. Also preceding her in death was her daughter Marsha D. Woodbury in 2009. Surviving are her children, Sherri (David) Sherman of Rockford, Karen (Russell) Clark of Traverse City and Dan (Shirley) Braman of Harietta, Mich,; 8 grandchildren, Angela Sherman, Matthew (Sarah) Sherman, Katie (John) Hoyle, Jason (Jodie) Clark, Jeremy Clark, Karyann Clark, Michael Woodbury and Melinda (Brent) Rozema; 6 great-grandchildren, Randall, Temprance, Nathan, Kaitlyn, Jonathan and Paige; sister, Mary (Wyman) Howard of Providence, R. I. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, 2009 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Thomas Boufford, presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at Orleans Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Ionia from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday evening. A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the National Kidney Foundation in memory of Mrs. Frances C. Yeasley.
