April 22, 1935 Mrs. Catherine Yeiter Mrs. Catherine Yeiter, 68, widow of Henry Yeiter, died at her home at 301 Harter street, Sunday evening, April 21 following an illness of nearly a year. Mrs. Yeiter was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abram Keller, who lived on a farm near Elmdale. She was married to Albert Parks at Freeport in 1889 and lived for a time at Lakeview and Lowell before coming to Ionia 16 years ago where she had always made her home at 301 Harter street. Mr. Parks death occurred in 1921 and she remarried in 1926 to Henry Yeiter of Grand Rapids, who died in 1933. Surviving her are one daughter, Mrs. Forrest Beemer, of Detroit; three brothers, Moses Keller, of Charlotte; Noah Keller, of Clarksville, and Levi Keller of New Port, N. J.; a step-daughter, Mrs. George VanderMere, of Grand Rapids; two step-sons, Orlo J. Yeiter of Grand Rapids, and Otis Schrock, of Riverdale; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jessie Thrun, of Detroit; and two grandchildren, Bernard parks and Mrs. John Robertson, of Detroit. Mrs. Yeiter had been an active worker in the Lady Maccabees and a member of the Royal Neighbors Lodges. Funeral services will be conducted from the residence Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock and from the Mennonite church at Clarksville at 3 o'clock. Interment at the family lot at the Clarksville cemetery.
