Former Ionian Killed In West Late Tuesday.

Word of Fatal Accident Comes to Parents of Eugene Yeomans Here

Word was received here Thursday of the death Wednesday night of Eugene W. 
Yeomans, former resident of this city, who, according to the telegram, was 
killed in an auto accident near his present home at Boise, Idaho.

The message received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Yeomans, 1044 W. Main 
street, gave very meager information.  It merely stated Mr. Yeomans was killed 
by an auto without telling whether he was struck by another car or killed in a 
wreck of his own auto.

He was well known here, having been born on the old farm home north of Ionia.  
He was raised here and educated in the Ionia schools.  When he was about 25 he 
left for the west living for a time there, later removing to Nome, Alaska and 
25 years ago returning to Boise where he has lived since.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mary Charlotte, aged 20, two sons, 
Eugene W., Jr., 22 and Clay, 15.

Because of their advanced years and the distance west to the son’s home Mr. and 
Mrs. Yeomans will not attempt to attend the funeral.
